Using the internet and other online technology is an excellent tool to aid learning and growth in young children. We use different online technologies every day at Portmead, and many children thrive learning this way.
We have a responsibility as a school and as parents to teach children about how to stay safe online and how to continue to use the internet safely and responsibly. We are not in need of computer experts to teach online safety, all we need is the opportunity for clear communication with our learners about staying safe online, how to be a good digital citizen and understanding what this means.
